Rebuilding Hope, One Classroom at a Time
From the rubble of war, we’re rebuilding dreams brick by brick. Rahma Worldwide is rebuilding Syria’s schools, reviving education, and promising a brighter tomorrow.
Syria’s Education Crisis
More than 4,200 schools have been damaged, destroyed, or repurposed since the start of the Syrian conflict. Approximately 40% of the country's schools remain inactive today, with rural areas such as Idlib and Hama suffering the most. Millions of children have lost access to safe learning spaces, many now study in tents, overcrowded shelters, or not at all. Every day without school is a day lost for learning, growth, and hope for a brighter future.
Rahma’s Impact on Young Lives
Rahma Worldwide has been at the heart of Syria’s recovery, with a focus on education as a cornerstone for long-term change. Through your support, Rahma has helped rebuild and renovate over 10+ schools across the country, giving thousands of children access to safe, fully equipped classrooms. In recent years, we have distributed hundreds of student desks, chairs, and teacher tables across Syria, including 600 student chairs for a school in Dhi Qar, Kafr Nabl, Idlib, which serves 34 nearby villages, at a cost of $170,000 to support rebuilding efforts. Furniture from 202 was delivered to schools in Idlib, Aleppo, and Damascus, which included more than 1,750 School Desks, ensuring children across the country have safe spaces to learn. Each rebuilt school is more than bricks and walls; it is a haven for learning, growth, and hope.
