In Damascus, Syria, sometimes what seems like a small act of support can make a lasting difference in someone’s life.
Fares Issa was seriously injured when a missile struck near him, resulting in the amputation of his left leg and a severe injury to his right leg. He also lost hearing in one ear during the years of war.
Through the Medical Support Project, in partnership with JIGSAW, his existing hearing aid was repaired and a new hearing aid was provided for his other ear, along with essential medical supplies to support his care for more than three months.
Today, Fares is adjusting to using both hearing aids and beginning to hear and communicate more clearly.
Your support cannot erase what Fares endured. But it can restore a sound, ease a burden, and remind someone that they are not alone.

في دمشق، سوريا… قد يكون الدعم الذي يبدو بسيطًا بدايةً لشيءٍ أكبر في حياة إنسان.
تعرض العم فارس عيسى لإصابة بالغة نتيجة سقوط صاروخ بالقرب منه، أدت إلى بتر ساقه اليسرى وإصابة شديدة في ساقه اليمنى، كما فقد السمع بإحدى أذنيه خلال سنوات الحرب.
ضمن مشروع الدعم الطبي، وبالشراكة مع منظمة JIGSAW، تم إصلاح سماعته وتأمين سماعة جديدة للأذن الثانية، إلى جانب توفير المستلزمات الطبية اللازمة لمتابعة رعايته لأكثر من ثلاثة أشهر.
اليوم، بدأ فارس بالتأقلم مع السماعتين واستعادة قدرة أفضل على السمع والتواصل.
قد لا يستطيع عطاؤكم أن يمحو ما مرّ به… لكنه يستطيع أن يعيد إليه صوتًا، ويخفف عنه عبئًا، ويذكّره بأنه ليس وحده.
