How can a society that has endured years of crisis regain its strength and move forward?
That question was at the heart of a lecture delivered by Dr. Shadi Zaza, President of Rahma Worldwide, at the Directorate of Culture in Latakia, Syria, titled "Community Awareness Is Not a Luxury, It Is Essential to Lasting Peace."
Drawing from real-world experience, Dr. Zaza highlighted how investing in people through education, community awareness, and opportunities for productive engagement lays the foundation for recovery and for building stronger, more resilient communities.
Participants' reflections reinforced a shared belief: lasting change begins when awareness is put into practice, knowledge inspires responsibility, and vision is translated into meaningful action.
Because the future is built not only with bricks, but with informed minds, a shared sense of purpose, and people who choose to be part of the change they want to see.

كيف يمكن لمجتمعٍ أنهكته الأزمات أن يستعيد قدرته على النهوض؟
هذا هو السؤال الذي انطلقت منه محاضرة الدكتور شادي ظاظا، رئيس منظمة رحمة حول العالم، التي استضافتها مديرية الثقافة في اللاذقية – سوريا، تحت عنوان: «الوعي المجتمعي ليس رفاهية، بل شرطٌ أساسي لأي سلامٍ حقيقي ومستدام».
استعرضت المحاضرة رؤى وتجارب أكدت أن الاستثمار في الإنسان، وتعزيز الوعي، ودعم التعليم والإنتاج، تمثل ركائز أساسية للتعافي وبناء مجتمعات أكثر تماسكًا وقدرةً على مواجهة التحديات.
كما عكست مداخلات الحضور وانطباعاتهم قناعةً مشتركة بأن التغيير الحقيقي يبدأ عندما يتحول الوعي إلى ممارسة، والمعرفة إلى مسؤولية، والرؤية إلى عملٍ يصنع أثرًا مستدامًا.
لأن المستقبل لا يُبنى بالحجارة وحدها، بل بالعقول الواعية، والإرادة المشتركة، والإنسان الذي يؤمن بأن التغيير يبدأ منه.
