From Relief to Knowledge Building Pathways for Cultural & Educational Growth

In the context of strengthening the integration of cultural and humanitarian work, the Arab Cultural Forum in Kenya, as an independent platform dedicated to fostering cultural and literary ties between Arab and Kenyan communities, hosted a workshop titled “The Role of Humanitarian Organizations in Supporting Cultural and Educational Development in Kenya.” The event was organized in partnership with Rahma Worldwide Relief and was attended by representatives of humanitarian organizations as well as cultural, economic, and media institutions, amid broad interest and notable media coverage.

A meeting was held with the Forum’s leadership team as part of the delegation of Rahma Worldwide Relief and Development, composed of Dr. Shadi Zaza, President of the organization; Mr. Mohammed Hassan Qsaybaty, Regional Director; and Mr. Ali Al-Hallaq, Finance Director of the Nairobi Office. The Forum’s leadership expressed deep appreciation for the efforts made by Rahma Worldwide Relief in the success of this initiative, which reflects a strategic approach toward enhancing the integration of humanitarian work with cultural and educational development, thereby contributing to building more aware and sustainable societies.

The workshop also reviewed the current state of cultural and educational development in Kenya and discussed the vital roles humanitarian organizations can play in raising community awareness, supporting education, preserving cultural values, and building sustainable partnerships that serve local communities.

في إطار تعزيز التكامل بين العمل الثقافي والإنساني، احتضن المنتدى الثقافي العربي في كينيا، بصفته منبرًا مستقلًا يُعنى بتعزيز الروابط الثقافية والأدبية بين المجتمعات العربية والكينية، ورشة عمل بعنوان «دور المنظمات الإنسانية في دعم التنمية الثقافية والتعليمية في كينيا»، وذلك بالشراكة مع منظمة رحمة حول العالم للإغاثة، وبمشاركة ممثلين عن منظمات إنسانية ومؤسسات ثقافية واقتصادية وإعلامية، وسط اهتمام واسع وتغطية إعلامية مميزة.

وعُقد لقاء مع إدارة المنتدى ضمن وفد منظمة رحمة حول العالم للإغاثة والتنمية، المكوّن من الدكتور شادي ظاظا، رئيس المنظمة، والأستاذ محمد حسان قصيباتي، المدير الإقليمي، والأستاذ علي الحلاق، المدير المالي لمكتب نيروبي، حيث أعربت إدارة المنتدى عن بالغ تقديرها وامتنانها للجهود التي تبذلها منظمة رحمة حول العالم في إنجاح هذه المبادرة، والتي جسّدت توجهًا استراتيجيًا نحو تعزيز التكامل بين العمل الإنساني والتنمية الثقافية والتعليمية، بما يسهم في ترسيخ أسس بناء مجتمعات أكثر وعيًا واستدامة.

كما استعرضت الورشة واقع التنمية الثقافية والتعليمية في كينيا، وناقشت الأدوار الحيوية للمنظمات الإنسانية في تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي، ودعم التعليم، وترسيخ القيم الثقافية، وبناء شراكات مستدامة تخدم المجتمعات المحلية.
