In rural Damascus, after 14 years of war that deprived children of their most basic rights, a pivotal phase in the restoration of Basima School begins today. Our team at Rahma Worldwide has started the process of pouring new roofs, transforming the school from a worn and exhausted place into a safe space that embraces children once again.

This is not just construction work. It is the rebuilding of safety and the revival of a long-awaited right. Every roof poured today is a promise that children will soon return to their desks, and that their laughter will once again fill the classrooms after years of absence.

Soon, the doors will open, a new beginning will be written, and education will return to being a natural part of these children’s lives.

في ريف دمشق، وبعد 14 عامًا من الحرب التي حرمت الأطفال من أبسط حقوقهم، تبدأ اليوم مرحلة مفصلية في ترميم مدرسة بسيمة. فقد باشر فريق رحمة حول العالم أعمال صبّ الأسقف، لتتحوّل هذه المدرسة من مكانٍ متعب إلى مساحة آمنة تحتضن الأطفال من جديد.

هذه ليست مجرد أعمال إنشائية. بل إعادة بناء للأمان، وإحياء لحقٍّ طال انتظاره. فكل سقف يُصبّ اليوم، هو وعد بأن الأطفال سيعودون قريبًا إلى مقاعدهم، وأن ضحكاتهم ستملأ الصفوف من جديد بعد سنوات من الغياب.

قريبًا ستُفتح الأبواب، وتُكتب بداية جديدة، ويعود التعليم ليكون جزءًا من حياة هؤلاء الأطفال كما يجب أن يكون.
