When war takes everything, all that remains for a person is patience.
Uncle Jihad Abdeh is one of those whose safety was stripped away and who were forced to flee from Ibb Governorate, finding himself with his family in a cramped and dilapidated tent inside Al-Jafina Camp – Marib.
Jihad used to provide for his family by herding sheep, until a war injury he sustained during work changed his life. Pain accumulated, livelihoods became tighter, and the tent offered neither protection from heat nor cold, nor a sense of stability.
In these days of blessing and generosity, hope returned. The family moved into a safe housing unit as part of the Emergency Housing Units Project, provided through Rahma Worldwide under the leadership of Dr. Shadi Zaza, and in the presence of Mr. Bashir Al-Rifa’i, Director of Al-Nasr Medical Complex. This unit was more than just walls. It became a gateway to safety, a new beginning, and a step that restores a measure of the security war had taken away.
This Ramadan, be the reason for warmth, hope, and joy in the heart of someone in need.

حين تأخذ الحرب كل شيء لا يبقى للإنسان سوى الصبر.
العم جهاد عبدة واحد من أولئك الذين انتُزع منهم الأمان، وأُجبروا على النزوح من محافظة إب، ليجد نفسه مع أسرته في خيمةٍ ضيّقة ومهترئة داخل مخيم الجفينة في مأرب.
كان جهاد يعيل أسرته من عمله في رعي الأغنام، قبل أن تغيّر إصابة حربٍ تعرّض لها أثناء عمله مجرى حياته. تراكمت الأوجاع، وضاقت سبل العيش، وأصبحت الخيمة مأوى لا يقي حرًّا ولا بردًا، ولا يمنح استقرارًا. لكن في أيام الخير والبركة، عاد الأمل. الأسرة انتقلت إلى وحدة سكنية آمنة ضمن مشروع الوحدات السكنية الطارئة، قُدّمت عبر منظمة رحمة برئاسة الدكتور شادي ظاظا، وبحضور الأستاذ بشير الرفاعي، مدير مجمع النصر الطبي. لم تكن هذه الوحدة مجرد جدران. بل باب نجاة، وبداية جديدة، وخطوة تعيد للإنسان شيئًا من الأمان الذي حرمته منه الحرب.
هذا رمضان، كن سببًا في دفء أمل وعيد لكل قلب محتاج.
