A Glimpse Inside Gaza’s Hospitals

Dr. Shadi Zaza, RahmaWorldwide’s, President, spoke in an interview with Al Jazeera about the tragic reality in the Gaza Strip. He highlighted the severe blockade that significantly impacts healthcare, causing a critical shortage of medications and medical supplies for doctors and patients. Dr. Shadi discussed the mission of the specialized medical team that recently arrived to perform surgeries in overcrowded hospitals.
The medical team, consisting of 21 surgeons from various specialities, is diligently working in hospitals such as the European Hospital, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, and Abu Yousef Al-Najjar Hospital. They are handling emergency cases and challenging surgeries. Given the current situation in Nasser Hospital, accessing it is difficult and fraught with risks.
Dr. Shadi emphasized the urgent need for medical support and essential supplies for Gaza, especially with the increasing number of injuries and the desperate need for healthcare. He calls on all relevant parties to act swiftly to alleviate the suffering of the population in these challenging humanitarian conditions.

وأكد الدكتور شادي على ضرورة توفير الدعم الطبي والإمدادات الضرورية لقطاع غزة، خاصة في ظل ازدياد الإصابات والحاجة الملحة للرعاية الصحية. ويطالب جميع الجهات المعنية بالتحرك السريع لتخفيف معاناة السكان في ظل هذه الظروف الإنسانية الصعبة.
