Meet seventy-year-old Um Maher, nicknamed the “Mother of Orphans,” suffered significant damage to her home after the devastating earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey, rendering it unsuitable for living. She and her grandchildren endured many nights in the open until our team responded to her call for help. We relocated her and her family to a new secure home in northern Syria, overseeing the restoration stages. We provided her with a monthly sponsorship to help her overcome the challenges and harsh conditions she faced with her family, making hope stronger than pain, and the will to live perseveres.
