His Excellency President of the Syrian Arab Republic Ahmed al-Sharaa received at the Presidential Palace a high-level delegation from the Syrian American Council, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Asaad al-Shaibani.
The delegation included a number of leading figures from the Syrian-American community, among them Dr. Shadi Zaza, Executive Director of Rahma Worldwide.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed the intensive efforts undertaken by the Syrian American Council and the Syrian-American community to amplify the voice of Syrians abroad and to press for the lifting of economic sanctions that weigh heavily on the Syrian people, while reaffirming their commitment to supporting Syria’s sovereignty and the unity of its territory.

استقبل فخامة رئيس الجمهورية العربية السورية أحمد الشرع في القصر الجمهوري وفداً رفيع المستوى من المجلس السوري الأمريكي، بحضور وزير الخارجية الدكتور أسعد الشيباني، وضمّ الوفد عدداً من الشخصيات القيادية في الجالية السورية الأميركية، ومن بينهم الدكتور شادي ظاظا المدير التنفيذي لمنظمة رحمة حول العالم.

 وخلال اللقاء، تمّ استعراض ما يبذله المجلس السوري الأميركي والجالية السورية الأميركية من جهود حثيثة لإيصال صوت السوريين في الخارج، والدفع نحو رفع العقوبات الاقتصادية التي تثقل كاهل الشعب السوري، مع التأكيد على دعم سيادة سوريا ووحدة أراضيها.
