Shahd, a 10-year-old war orphan and a refugee from Ghouta, lived with her mother who remarried after her father's death to a cruel man. She was subjected to merciless physical torture, leaving deep scars of pain and suffering on her soul and body.

Since her story reached us through social media, our team acted quickly to find Shahd, and we were able to locate her where she is currently staying safely with her relatives.

Our team went to Shahd's home, where she lives with one of her relatives, carrying beautiful gifts and colored pencils, hoping to bring joy to her young heart. We did not stop there but also provided her with a monthly sponsorship to help her complete her studies and realize her dream of becoming a doctor one day.

But what Shahd needs more than that is much more. She needs a secure future, an education that will enable her to realize her dreams.

اليتيمة شهد: ندوب حرب لا تمحوها الأيام
في قلب الحرب الدائرة في سوريا، حيث تتلاشى البراءة وتضيع الأحلام، تقف الطفلة شهد شاهدة على وحشية الصراع. عشرة أعوام هي كل ما عرفته شهد من حياة، إلا أنها حُملت فوق طاقتها بآلام لا يستحقها أي طفل .عيونها، التي كانت يوماً ما تعكس بريق الأمل، باتت تحمل قصة من الألم والمعاناة. 
شهد، يتيمة الحرب والمهجرة من الغوطة ذات  10 سنوات عاشت مع والدتها التي تزوجت بعد وفاة والدها من رجل قاسٍ، فتعرضت للتعذيب الجسدي منه دون رحمة، تاركًا في روحها وجسدها آثارًا عميقة من الألم والمعاناة.
منذ وصول قصتها إلينا عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، تحرك فريقنا سريعًا للبحث عن شهد، وتمكنا من الوصول إليها حيث تقيم حاليًا بأمان مع أقربائها. 
للتوجه فرقنا إلى منزل شهد، حيث تُقيم مع أحد أقاربها، مُحملين بِهداياٍ جميلةٍ وأقلامٍ ملونةٍ، أملين إسعاد قلبها الصغير، ولم نكتفي بذلك بل قدمنا  لها كفالةً شهريةً تُساعدها على إكمال دراستها وتحقيق حلمها بأن تُصبح طبية يوماً ما. 
ولكن ما تحتاجه شهد أكثر من ذلك بكثير. إنها تحتاج إلى مستقبل آمن، إلى تعليم يمكّنها من تحقيق أحلامها.
